Our Staff
Our staff team is made up of almost 100 dedicated professionals working together to provide the best possible childcare service to the children and parents in the community. We have a mix of management, Early years professionals, catering, administration and general operative employees and our qualified Early Years team are supported and provide professional guidance to our trainee team.
Our staff team have a range of qualifications in childcare. All our Core Early Years Educators have a minimum Fetac level 5 training in childcare with the majority now trained or in training to Fetac Level 6 or Degree in Early Education standard.
Core Staff
Our core staff team are all High/Scope trained and our after-school team have trained in specialized training for the 4 to 12 year old age group.
All staff have attended an up to date First Aid Training course, renewed every 2 years and training in Children First (child protection).
The Centre sees the vital importance of continuous professional development and upskilling in childcare and early education, thereby ensuring the highest standards of childcare are delivered at all times to each child in our care.
Staff have completed training in Aistear (The Early Childhood Framework) and SÃolta (The National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education) to facilitate the implementation of a quality childcare curriculum.
Community Employment/ TUS/ National Internship Programme
The Centre also sees the importance of training in the community and so offers a Community Employment programme for within the service for those looking to train in childcare, catering, reception or as a general operative. We have a Community Employment supervisor and assistant supervisor available to our Community Employment team and are delighted with the progression rate of our participants with many moving into permanent employment in the childcare sector or similar.
The Centre also welcomes participants on the TUS programme and the National Internship Programme.

Volunteers
Darndale Belcamp Integrated Childcare Service Ltd are fortunate to have a number of dedicated volunteers in our Centre. Our volunteer team work with our children as childcare assistants, dance teachers, gardening experts, sports coaches, story tellers and musicians. We are also fortunate to have a dedicated team of volunteer fundraisers that continually support the service.
